This is our view of the eclipse at Fort Mara, about 45 kilometers northwest of Maracaibo, Venezuela, a little below the centerline. Totality lasted about 3 minutes and 45 seconds. During the eclipse the temperature dropped from 96 F to 84 F. The "diamond ring" exposure was about 1/2000 second, and the totality shot was 1/4 second with a 500mm f/8 mirror lens using Kodak Gold 200.
